Boy Scouts of America 2010 Celebrate Scouting Stamp

Celebrate Scouting with the Boy Scouts of America and the United States Postal Service!

In 2010, the year of our 100th Anniversary, the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) is receiving an incredible honor from the United States Postal Service (USPS) in the form of a Scouting stamp. A tribute to the impact of a century of Scouting on the American landscape, the stamp is now available at post offices across the country. If you're interested in creating a stamp cancellation event, read our engaging your local post office guide.

Since 1910, Scouting has served young people and their families through a program of values-based leadership and character. Continuing the BSA's long tradition of service and good turns, we will bring deeper purpose to the Celebrate Scouting stamp by sending letters and care packages to the military men and women serving our country overseas. Also included in this effort are the many veterans who have honorably served our country throughout the years. Join us in the effort!

You can start today by visiting the USPS Web site, where you will find important guidelines and information for keeping in touch with our troops overseas. And, you'll find a toolkit of information to support your efforts, below!

Scouts, BSA staff, volunteers — or anyone who'd like to join our effort — are invited to explore the following resources. There are an array of tools to help you develop a thoughtful letter or care package that reminds our troops how much we appreciate and value their service.
